Beyond creationand challenge.
Let's create work that no one has the answer to yet.
In Hiroshima, we work across 3DCG, XR, simulation, film, web, and AI. We don't draw strict lines between job roles.

Six technologies WAN has worked on
From entertainment visuals to construction-site training. The technology we use to create visuals and experiences that amaze people also carries over into site inspections and environments for learning to operate heavy machinery.

3DCG & Film
Architectural CG renderings, walkthrough animations, projection mapping, digital installations. Showing what does not exist yet, and giving form to what words alone cannot convey. This is the work WAN has been doing the longest.

VR/XR
Sometimes it is quicker to put people in the scene than to have them read an explanation. Virtual exhibitions, VR tours, remote-operation apps. We use game engines to build experiences that move back and forth between the real and the virtual.

Construction Machinery Simulator
METATORE, a construction machinery training system. It is a product for practicing basic operation and responses to hazardous situations again and again on a simulator, before using real machines. We use 3DCG and physics simulation to build virtual spaces close to real construction sites.

3DGS & Point Clouds
Machica, a 3D viewer. Using 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), a technique that creates 3D from photos and videos, it turns an entire site into data, then layers design models, comments and documents on top for sharing in the browser.

Digital Twins
Layering design models and machine movements onto captured real-world places. Without stopping the real thing, processes and movements can be tested as many times as needed in a virtual space where breaking something puts no one at risk.

Robotics & Physical AI
Taking judgment acquired in virtual space back into the movements of real machines. In METATORE+, a collaboration with universities, we are using AI to quantify the skills of experienced operators and pass them on to the next generation and to machines.

Discover, respond,
deliver.
We discover possibilities through R&D, respond to our clients' challenges through solution development, and deliver widely through our own products. Moving back and forth among the three, we use technology and ideas to create wonder that doesn't exist yet.
About WANDiscover
Research & development
Working with universities and companies, we explore the next forms of expression and technology, including digital twins, robotics, and physical AI.

Solution development
Starting from each client's request, we combine 3DCG, XR, simulation, film, web, and AI to meet their challenges.

Our own products
We turn the technology built through solution development into products of our own, and deliver them widely to fields such as construction, culture, and education.

Six business fields
Work that doesn't fit into a single field is handled by a team that spans fields. Everyone, whatever their field, gets involved in work from the others.
Service detailsA day with our CEO
From music to CG and VR, and on to real-world challenges.
The company he joined straight out of school went bankrupt within a year. He then founded his own company at 25. We spent a day with CEO Ayumu Mitani. Based in Hiroshima, WAN has expanded from 3DCG and XR into construction and civil engineering simulation and the use of AI. The video follows that work and the future the company is aiming for.
We want to work with people who feel that way: people who can adapt to all kinds of situations. Rather than fitting their work to a job title, they broaden what they do to meet the challenge in front of them.
