On September 18 (Thu), WAN hosted the webinar "3DCG Basics for Content That Communicates and Spreads."

We also showed a condominium walkthrough video made with the trending technology "Gaussian Splatting."
Theme of this webinar
"We want to create content that helps even people who struggle with jargon understand the basics of 3DCG!"
From anime and films to architectural renderings, games, product catalogs and even VR and metaverse experiences,
3DCG has already become an essential means of expression in our daily lives and business.
However, although we simply say "3DCG," behind the scenes completely different software and systems are used for each purpose, such as technology suited to animation, technology for realistic architectural renderings, and technology that powers games and VR, and a wide variety of technical terms get thrown around.
So this time, one of our staff members who struggles with jargon broke down the technical terms to explain
- The definition and types of 3DCG (modeling / game engines / design tools)
- Concrete examples of 3DCG we encounter in daily life (anime, games, architectural renderings, VR experiences, etc.)
- An introduction to WAN's work (architectural CG, VR theater, digital twins)
- Use cases of the latest trend, "Gaussian Splatting"
in depth.

An introduction to "game engines," which power games themselves and a wide range of visual effects
"Combine technologies, and 3DCG can do this too!"
We aimed to create that sense of surprise, and also introduced how 3DCG can be extended to help achieve KPIs and produce high-quality content.
"The potential of digital twins" expanded by WAN
Participants asked many questions, making it a rewarding webinar.
We would like to thank everyone who took part once again.
Future webinars will be announced on our website and Facebook as they are scheduled.
