[METATORE Development Report] A Sneak Peek at Some Features!

Content that advances civil engineering and construction sites.
"We want to train young workers. But the site is busy, and we don't have time to teach..."
"For safety reasons, it's hard to let beginners use real machines right away..."
To solve the challenges facing the construction industry, namely "the difficulty of training young workers" and "the lack of places to acquire skills safely and efficiently," we are exploring a new form of construction machinery operation simulation together with our co-development partners.
In this article, we share some of the background to its development and the latest status.

You can even place buried pipes! The "field customization feature"
METATORE aims to deliver what has been difficult to achieve with conventional simulators:
more intuitive operation that feels closer to the real machine and realistic reproduction of work sites.
It is scheduled for release in June 2026.
Here we introduce one of the features that makes this possible: the "field customization feature."

The field customization feature lets users freely create training scenarios.
For example, even when the ground looks empty, there may be water pipes buried underneath, and excavator work must be done with care to avoid them.
In other words, users can experience in advance the risks and points of caution that can arise at real sites, such as "there are places you must not dig" and "the work requires care."
Beyond helping beginners acquire skills, it can also simulate special situations such as disasters.
METATORE has now entered the phase of finalizing its product configuration, and from November onward we will continue improving its accuracy while designing a UI/UX that is easy for users to handle.
Selected for a venture grant and accelerating development
"METATORE" was highly evaluated for WAN's philosophy of "solving social issues through creativity × digital technology" and for its contribution to the development of local industry, and was selected for the FY2025 Hiroshima Venture Grant.
With this support, our development speed and the product's level of completion are improving even further.
Alpha version now available to partner companies

The alpha version is currently being rolled out to each of our co-development partners in turn, and we are continuing to improve its features based on feedback from the field.
From validating METATORE to expanding sales channels, a collaborative structure that makes the most of each partner's strengths is greatly raising the product's level of completion.
We will continue working with everyone toward the final finishing touches.
More than just a simulator
"The on-site capabilities of the future start here."
METATORE is not just a simulator;
it is evolving into a product that aims to become the next-generation "standard for construction machinery training."
Ahead of the official release next June, we will release more information step by step.
We are continuing to develop "METATORE" with the aim of making learning in the construction industry safer and more efficient.
