Recommended for
- Those involved in bridge design, repair and reinforcement who find it challenging to get ideas across among stakeholders
- Those who want to use 3D/XR as part of BIM/CIM for resident briefings and consensus building
- Those who want to share the same screen across multiple devices such as PCs and Meta Quest
- Those who want to learn concrete use cases of XR and 3D visualization in the infrastructure field
Webinar content
In this webinar, we will give a clear overview, even for newcomers, of an "XR review environment" that combines expertise gained in real-world bridge design with XR and 3D visualization technology.
- How can site data captured by drones and other means be visualized in 3D with realistic textures?
- What is a "shared view" that lets you switch between and compare bridge models and design options from the same viewpoint?
- How can the same experience be shared from PCs and Meta Quest, whether in meetings or on site?
- How can "GeoSplat," which combines various terrain and 3D data, be put to use?
Focusing on points like these, we plan to cover the following:
- The background and issues behind working on XR reviews as part of BIM/CIM in the bridge field
- "On-site challenges in bridge design" as seen by Shinwa Gijutsu, and expectations for XR
- The concept and demo images of the XR review environment provided by WAN
- Anticipated use cases such as design review/VE, resident briefings, maintenance, and education and knowledge transfer
We will also answer questions such as:
"How can we share points that drawings and renderings cannot fully convey?"
"How can we reduce mismatched assumptions at resident briefings?"
We hope you will take this opportunity to join us and find hints you can use in your next project.
