"Genboku" Performed at the Yamato Museum: Full House at the Renewal Event

World Area Networks Co., Ltd. (Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture) presented "Yamato Genboku," a program using its in-house product "Genboku," at the renewal opening event held at the Yamato Museum on April 25, 2026 (Sat). Admission to the program was by lottery, and about 200 people came to watch.

Reopening after about two years of renovation

The museum has enriched its exhibits by reflecting the latest research findings and materials and by introducing digital technology. It has also strengthened its universal design, with barrier-free access, multilingual support, and hands-on exhibits, reborn as a facility that is easy for everyone to use.

After a large-scale renovation costing ¥4.7 billion in total, the Yamato Museum has evolved into a facility with new attractions.
On opening day, 700 people lined up, and many visitors have been coming from all over Japan.

Celebrating a new beginning in grand style with "Genboku"

This initiative was carried out as part of the Yamato Museum renewal opening event. "Yamato Genboku" is a program that uses "Genboku," an expressive technology developed by WAN, and is viewing-oriented content centered on visitors "watching" the work.

"Genboku" is performance content that fuses calligraphy and digital art using projection mapping. By adding visual effects to calligraphy works, such as trails of light that appear along the brushstrokes, it offers a dynamic visual experience.

The event was fully booked on the day, and through "Genboku" we offered visitors an art experience different from conventional exhibits.

"Genboku" brings new excitement to cultural facilities

In recent years, museums and cultural facilities have been expected to create new, memorable experiences for visitors in addition to their conventional exhibits. Demand for immersive content that uses digital technology is growing, especially among younger people. Against this background, WAN is using its original product "Genboku" to offer new viewing experiences at cultural facilities.

Unlike conventional static exhibits, "Genboku" is distinctive in that it creates experiences that leave a lasting impression on visitors by incorporating visual changes and staging. Cultural facilities are expected not only to help visitors understand their exhibits, but also to give people reasons to visit and to increase satisfaction with their stay. This program offers a new approach to meeting those needs.

Looking ahead

In addition to planning events that use our original content, starting with "Genboku," WAN aims to create new experiential value by working alongside clients from the planning and design stage of their products.

If you are interested in Genboku or in developing digital content, please feel free to get in touch.
